CAROLYN KAWANO

Like a needle in a haystack, Carolyn Kawano is proving herself to be more than extraordinary – she defines the ‘extra’ within the ‘ordinary’!

As owner and executive director of the Mrs. Hawai’i International, Miss Hawai’i International and Miss Teen Hawai’i International U.S. pageants (CK Productions), to say the least, Carolyn is a leader in many remarkable capacities – in so many meaningful ways.

As a previous beauty queen herself, she has participated or held the titles of Miss Matsuri Pageant 1989; Miss Hawai’i Continental 2001; and crowned with the Mrs. Hawai’i International banner in 1999. In addition, Carolyn has shared her expertise and insights with many students at the Susan Page Modeling School in Honolulu. As a student herself, Carolyn was trained with the World Modeling and Acting School.

With multi-disciplined talents aside of the beauty and fashion world, Carolyn keeps busy with passions like HAWAI’I T.V. BOWLING (Committee Member, Tournament Assistant Director); MARKETSOURCE (Hewlett Packard Representative); KOKO HEAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Part-Time Adult Supervisor/Substitute Educational Assistant); HAWAII MUSIC AWARDS (Reception, supervise overall function); PREVENT CHILD ABUSE HAWAII (Consultant with public events); HAWAII KAI BAPTIST CHILD CARE CENTER (Director of their Scholastic Book Order Club); as well, MISS HAWAII U.S.A. PAGEANTS (Multi-supporter of event). Added to her obvious beauty and brains, Carolyn is also athletic as the KAISER HIGH SCHOOL O.I.A. BOWLING INDIVIDUAL CHAMP (1982) and MOST VALUABLE PLAYER AWARD for BOWLING (1982-1986).

Currently, Carolyn is the proud mother of two active boys that remain close and involved in her life. She spends quality time with them doing simple things like ‘feeding the ducks’ near her home on the east side of Oahu. Her bowling skills are still immaculate as Carolyn knocks those strikes weekly at tournaments and casual play.

Carolyn is now gearing up for the three upcoming 2006 International pageants that will be conducted in the State of Hawai’i, the preliminary for the nationals.
